Northwest Cabarrus has gone 6-1 against Carson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Trojans will welcome the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Northwest Cabarrus will be strutting in after a win while Carson will be coming in after a loss.
On Friday, Northwest Cabarrus was fully in charge, breezing past East Rowan 35-7. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Northwest Cabarrus found their leader in sophomore Titus Troy, who rushed for 168 yards and three TDs. Those three rushing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Troy.
Northwest Cabarrus' run defense was locked in: East Rowan could only muster 1.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Zack Riddle for the heroic effort on defense: he. Northwest Cabarrus didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.3.
Meanwhile, Carson's game on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Rowan. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Carson saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Damo'N Broussard rushed for 122 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 80 yards.
Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Northwest Cabarrus, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Northwest Cabarrus has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 187.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Carson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 223.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Northwest Cabarrus against Carson in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-7 victory. In that game, the Trojans amassed a halftime lead of 28-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
