Football Recap: Unioto Shermans vs. Waverly Tigers
Unioto lost to Waverly back in September of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Unioto Shermans snuck past the Waverly Tigers with a 20-14 victory.
Unioto found their leader in underclassman Isaac Coy, who threw for 220 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a rushing score. A healthy portion of that aerial production (89 yards to be exact) went to Blake Hoops.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Unioto's defense and their four sacks. Ben Griffin was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself.
