Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Eva Penning and Shakia Lapp

Calvary Christian Academy managed to keep up with Johnstown Christian until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Calvary Christian Academy Conquerors lost 51-30 to the Johnstown Christian Bluejays. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Conquerors have suffered since December 12, 2024.

Despite the loss, Calvary Christian Academy had strong showings from Shakia Lapp, who posted ten points, and Eva Penning, who put up nine points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds. Penning has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 20 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Mills, who scored four points along with ten boards and five assists.
