Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln County vs. Atlanta Classical Academy

The Lincoln County Red Devils are taking a road trip to challenge the Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lincoln County has five straight victories, Atlanta Classical Academy has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

On Thursday, Lincoln County got the win against Abbeville by a conclusive 7-3. Lincoln County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Atlanta Classical Academy's offense. They lost 3-0 to Providence Christian Academy on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Atlanta Classical Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 278th, while Providence Christian Academy are ranked 96th).

Atlanta Classical Academy now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Lincoln County, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.

Lincoln County suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Atlanta Classical Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
