The Hawkinsville Red Devils will face off against the East Laurens Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hawkinsville has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Hawkinsville and Marion County had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Hawkinsville came up short against Marion County on Friday, falling 15-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Devils in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Hawkinsville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Meeks, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-4. Meeks is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last 15 games he's played dating back to last season. Another was Harlem Phillips, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Laurens). They put the hurt on Jefferson County with a sharp 17-4 win on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Falcons with their most commanding win of the season.
Kaden Mimbs was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Konner Oneal was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
East Laurens was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive games.
Hawkinsville now has a losing record of 5-6. As for East Laurens, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Hawkinsville has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like East Laurens struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
