Football Recap: Loving Starts Season with Victory Against Estancia

Loving took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Estancia Bears 42-0. The Falcons pushed the score to 34-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bears had no chance of recovering from.

Loving's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bobby Parraz led the charge by rushing for 94 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Parraz has posted since back in August of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristen Onsurez, who threw for 224 yards and a pair of TDs.

Loving's run defense was locked in: Estancia could only muster 2.6 yards per carry. The Falcons didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Loving will challenge New Mexico Military Institute at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Estancia, they will take on Eunice at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
