Softball Recap: Starr's Mill Wins Going Away Against Whitewater

Starr's Mill hadn't done well against Whitewater recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 9-1 victory. Considering the Panthers have won four games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Starr's Mill pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Whitewater, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Starr's Mill will be playing in front of their home fans against Callaway at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitewater, they will head out on the road to take on Upson-Lee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season.
