Soccer Game Preview: Roosevelt vs. Edison

The Roosevelt Mustangs will face off against the Edison Chargers on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Roosevelt will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal last Tuesday, then bounced right back against Foothill on Thursday. The Mustangs blew past the Knights 5-2. With Roosevelt ahead 3-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

They hit Foothill with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kamryn Rembis (2), Delilah Woods, Emma Gause, and Brooklyn Musser.

Meanwhile, Edison kept a clean sheet against Mission Viejo on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Diablos. Edison haven't had any issues with Mission Viejo recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 16-4-6. As for Edison, their win bumped their record up to 12-7-3.

Roosevelt was able to grind out a solid victory over Edison in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 3-1. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chargers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
