Baseball Recap: Alden Bulldogs vs. Royalton-Hartland Rams

Alden had lost three straight on the road, but on Sunday they dropped down to 6-8 to make it four. They fell 6-3 to the Royalton-Hartland Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 11-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2018.

Brody Peresan put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in May of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Peresan wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Stroh, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

As for Royalton-Hartland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6. Six seems to be a good number for them as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

On Royalton-Hartland's side, Gavin Heideman was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Heideman is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Sean Mettler was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Alden nor Royalton-Hartland have any future games scheduled.
