Volleyball Game Preview: Sandwich Indians vs. Richmond-Burton Rockets + Official Tickets

Sandwich hasn't had much luck against Richmond-Burton recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Indians will take on the Rockets at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Sandwich turned things around against Harvard on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Hornets.

Sandwich not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Harvard to exactly 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sandwich to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rylee Huml, who had 13 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Huml has posted since back in September.

Meanwhile, Richmond-Burton beat Woodstock 2-0 on Monday. The Rockets haven't had any issues with the Blue Streaks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Richmond-Burton easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-17.

Sandwich's record now sits at 6-18. As for Richmond-Burton, their record is now 19-6.

Sandwich couldn't quite get it done against Richmond-Burton in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
