Soccer Game Preview: Pacific Grove vs. Stevenson

The Pacific Grove Breakers will challenge the Stevenson Pirates at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Last Tuesday, it was close, but Pacific Grove sidestepped Gonzales for a 3-2 victory.

Meanwhile, Stevenson kept a clean sheet against Santa Catalina on Tuesday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Cougars 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Pirates were the better team in the second half.

Pacific Grove's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5-1. As for Stevenson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2-4.

Pacific Grove might still be hurting after the 5-0 loss they got from Stevenson in their previous matchup on January 8th. Can Pacific Grove avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
