West Laurens came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Ridgeland Panthers with a sharp 9-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won 18 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

West Laurens' victory bumped their record up to 25-3. As for Ridgeland, they dropped their record down to 11-18 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.

West Laurens will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
