Softball Recap: North Bend Central's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

North Bend Central came into Saturday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. Paul Wildcats on Saturday, sneaking past 7-5.

The team relied heavily on Pyper Daugherty, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Vanessa Cummings, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

North Bend Central's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for St. Paul, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

North Bend Central has already played their next matchup, a 7-5 win against Highway 91 on the 20th. As for St. Paul, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-4 victory against Arlington on the 20th.
