Softball Recap: Douglas County Comes Up Short

Douglas County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-0 to the Mt. Zion Eagles. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 14-5 to the Eagles when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Douglas County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mt. Zion, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Douglas County will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on East Coweta at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mt. Zion, they will take on Chattooga at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
