Softball Preview: Strasburg Indians vs. Brush Beetdiggers

The Strasburg Indians are taking a road trip to square off against the Brush Beetdiggers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Thursday, Strasburg made easy work of Valley and carried off a 19-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Addi Kent was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in August. Paisley Selle was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Strasburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 11 consecutive matchups.

Brush came out on top against Resurrection Christian on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fifth inning. The Beetdiggers never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Brush got a big performance out of Izabella Talmich, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Tatim Chard also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Strasburg beat Brush 7-2 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
