Softball Recap: Roosevelt Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Roosevelt waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Greeley Central Wildcats get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 23-0 on September 2nd.

Davia Krause looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lily Wiese, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylynn Yebra, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Roosevelt was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .579. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .353 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Greeley Central, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Roosevelt is set to face off against their familiar foe Berthoud at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Greeley Central will take on rival Northridge at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
