Baseball Recap: Eastside Comes Up Short

Eastside fell victim to Highland and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 9-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 on Wednesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Eastside and nudges their season record down to 2-16. As for Highland, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-5-1.

Looking ahead, Eastside will take on Quartz Hill at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Royals have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. As for Highland, they have already played their next matchup, a 4-2 defeat against Moorpark on the 18th.
