North Cobb Christian had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They beat the Sonoraville Phoenix by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-1 last Thursday.

North Cobb Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Sonoraville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-16.
