Softball Recap: Fullington Academy Trojans vs. Citizens Christian Academy Patriots
Fullington Academy extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-3. They came up short against the Citizens Christian Academy Patriots, falling 18-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 on Thursday.
As for Citizens Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by eight runs or more this season.
For Citizens Christian Academy's part, Gracie Giddens made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Giddens was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Citizens Christian Academy let Emma Gourley and Cadence Cravey run wild.
