Highland put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They had just enough and edged the Justin Garza Guardians out 3-2. Given the Scots' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Guardians are ranked 431st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Madison Flores and Roxie Salas scored all three of Highland's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Highland's victory bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Justin Garza, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7-3 record this season.

Highland will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Stockdale at 11:30 a.m. on January 2, 2025. As for Justin Garza, they will head out on the road to face off against Kerman at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
