Wagoner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Locust Grove Pirates, falling 12-4. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked the Bulldogs' highest-scoring contest to date.

Wagoner's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Locust Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Locust Grove beat Wagoner by a score of 10-0 later that day.
