Softball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 6-1 to the Le Mars Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 14-2 loss back in June.

Lincoln saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ana Watkins, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 5-25. As for Le Mars, their victory bumped their record up to 25-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Lincoln by a score of 11-3 later that day.
