Basketball Recap: North Providence Comes Up Short on the Road Against Scituate + How To Watch

North Providence kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 57-37 to the Scituate Spartans. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-17.

Makenna Heon and Mariana Xavier certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Heon posted 13 points and three blocks, while Xavier put up nine points.

North Providence and Scituate will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cougars will challenge rival Providence Country Day at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Scituate is set to square off against their familiar foe Hope at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
