Soccer Recap: Knight Comes Up Short

Knight lost to Quartz Hill back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hawks came up short against the Royals, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Knight can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 679th, while Quartz Hill are ranked 144th).

This is the second loss in a row for Knight and nudges their season record down to 4-8-3. As for Quartz Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3-2 record this season.

Knight wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Lancaster on the 29th. As for Quartz Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-1 victory against Eastside on the 29th.
