Bellevue East and Bellevue West faced off in a cross-town battle on Thursday. The Chieftains were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Thunderbirds. Considering the Chieftains have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Bellevue East let Cota Barmore and Audrina Urwin run wild. Barmore went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Urwin went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Barmore has posted over her last 14 matchups.

Bellevue East hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bellevue West struck out 12 times.

Bellevue East's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.25 runs across that stretch. As for Bellevue West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season.

Bellevue East didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Millard West on the 12th. As for Bellevue West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 4-1 victory against Omaha Central on the 12th.
