Pierce has gone 8-1 against East Nicolaus recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Pierce Bears will take on the East Nicolaus Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Pierce didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Durham, but they still walked away with a 39-34 victory.

Meanwhile, East Nicolaus had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They breezed past the Bobcats to the tune of 56-16. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 559th, while the Bobcats are ranked 1137th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

East Nicolaus' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-11. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points over those games. As for Pierce, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Pierce took their victory against East Nicolaus in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 48-24. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pierce since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
