Ontario is 8-1-1 against Chaffey since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Ontario duke it out with the Chaffey at 5:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Chaffey will have to contend with a Ontario team hungry for a victory, something the squad hasn't seen since December 15. Ontario took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Montclair on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 850th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 118th).

Meanwhile, Chaffey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Diamond Ranch, falling 8-0.

Chaffey's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Ontario, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11-2.

Everything went Ontario's way against Chaffey when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Ontario made off with a 3-0 win. Will Ontario repeat their success, or does Chaffey have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
