Soccer Game Preview: Washington Union vs. Exeter

The Washington Union Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Exeter Monarchs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Washington Union's offense. They fell just short of Selma by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Exeter kept a clean sheet against Hanford West on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Huskies. Exeter haven't had any issues with Hanford West recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Washington Union's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1-1 and their overall record down to 13-8-2. As for Exeter, their win bumped their record up to 10-6-2.

Washington Union skirted past Exeter 2-1 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
