Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Swainsboro). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Cross Creek Razorbacks a 13-0 shutout on Thursday. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The win made it two in a row for Swainsboro and bumps their season record up to 6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Cross Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Swainsboro will head out to challenge Portal at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cross Creek, they will square off against Howard at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
