Baseball Recap: Denmark Comes Up Short

Denmark suffered their closest loss since February 15th on Monday. They fell just short of the North Forsyth Raiders by a score of 5-3. Denmark has struggled against North Forsyth recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Denmark got a good showing from Caden Street, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Street has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Geno Goralski was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI and one triple.

Denmark's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for North Forsyth, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-10.

While Denmark had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
