Football Recap: Mohawk Area Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mohawk Area blew Beaver Falls out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Beaver Falls got their revenge. The Warriors fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 8-6. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Bobby Fadden threw for 79 yards on nine of 13 attempts. Joe Nail was his top target, picking up 63 receiving yards. On the ground, Lucas Stratton rushed for 47 yards and one score.

Mohawk Area's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Beaver Falls, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mohawk Area will head out to face off against Union Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Scotties' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
