Football Game Preview: Champlin Park Rebels vs. Eden Prairie Eagles + Official Tickets

The Champlin Park Rebels will take on the Eden Prairie Eagles on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Champlin Park is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Roseville a 28-0 shutout. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Rebels' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Raiders are ranked 257th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eden Prairie). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 50-7 win over Lakeville North. With the Eagles ahead 29-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Eden Prairie's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.3 points over those games. As for Champlin Park, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Champlin Park came up short against Eden Prairie in their previous meeting back in November of 2017, falling 34-24. Can the Rebels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
