The University Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Windsor Wizards at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. University is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

If Sterling wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played University, they should've done a better job of containing Livianna Aguilar. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers on Thursday for which the team can thank Aguilar, who had 17 digs and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 25-20.
Meanwhile, Windsor faced Fossil Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wizards came up short against the SaberCats, falling 3-0. The Wizards' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
While Windsor ultimately came up short, they really made Fossil Ridge work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-22, 25-19.
University will need to focus on slowing down Avery Smiley, one of several Windsor players who made an impact when they last played. She had 27 digs and one assist. Hallie Burroughs was another key player, getting 17 assists and seven digs.
University's record is now 14-3. As for Windsor, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: University has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10.9 aces per game. However, it's not like Windsor struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
University might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Windsor in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
