Baseball Recap: Garnet Valley Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Garnet Valley extended their winning streak to eight on Wednesday, bumping them up to 17-6. They had just enough and edged out the Spring-Ford Rams 4-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Jaguars also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2025.

Garnet Valley let Harrison Maull and Cole Lombardo run wild. Maull got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run, while Lombardo went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ashton Yau, who earned one RBI and two runs.

As for Spring-Ford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-6. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games.

On Spring-Ford's side, they got a good showing from Johnathan Copperthwaite, who tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. What's more, Copperthwaite gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in April.

On the hitting side, Luke Sedor was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Quinn, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one run.

Garnet Valley will have a chance to go back-to-back against Spring-Ford: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
