Softball Recap: Worth County Comes Up Short

Worth County lost against Bacon County on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rams came up short against the Raiders, falling 11-4. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Karlee Mathews made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Worth County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Bacon County, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Worth County will face off against Baconton Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bacon County, they will take on Crisp County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
