Soccer Recap: Canyon Hills Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

While Canyon Hills didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They had just enough and edged the High Tech SD Storm out 2-1 on Friday. Given the Rattlers 's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Storm are ranked 640th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Vanessa Duque Ramirez and Genasis Carachure scored both of Canyon Hills' goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those five matches. As for High Tech SD, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Canyon Hills will take on Madison at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Canyon Hills' last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for High Tech SD, they will challenge University City at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
