Softball Recap: Fayette Takes a Loss

Fayette came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Harrisburg Bulldogs, falling 8-2. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Fayette's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Harrisburg, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fayette will welcome Eugene at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last four games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Harrisburg, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against South Callaway at 5:00 p.m. South Callaway has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something Harrisburg will no doubt try to take advantage of.
