Soccer Game Preview: San Leandro vs. Hayward

The San Leandro Pirates will square off against the Hayward Farmers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Leandro is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Hayward better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when San Leandro really get things going. San Leandro never let Mt. Eden onto the board and left with a 3-0 win on Thursday. Give the Pirates' defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Hayward and Arroyo finished up their game with a 0-0 draw on Thursday.

San Leandro pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matches. Hayward's draw makes their record 4-8-6 this season.
