Soccer Game Preview: Woodlake vs. Farmersville

The Woodlake Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Farmersville Aztecs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Wednesday, Woodlake narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Strathmore 4-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Farmersville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past Orange Cove 6-0 on Wednesday.

Farmersville has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those six games. As for Woodlake, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4-5.

Woodlake was able to grind out a solid win over Farmersville in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodlake since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
