Baseball Game Preview: John Milledge Academy Trojans vs. Strong Rock Christian Patriots

The John Milledge Academy Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Strong Rock Christian Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. John Milledge Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Monday, everything went John Milledge Academy's way against Baldwin as John Milledge Academy made off with an 11-4 victory. Fans of the Trojans have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Remington Weaver made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bradyn Harrisson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Harrisson is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Will Adams, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.

John Milledge Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Baldwin only posted an OBP of .333.

Meanwhile, Strong Rock Christian came up short against Trinity Christian on Saturday and fell 8-5. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

John Milledge Academy pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Strong Rock Christian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
