Castle and Forest Park pushed the score to 15-9 the last time they played Forest Park, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rangers, sneaking past 3-1. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Castle's win bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Forest Park, they dropped their record down to 12-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Castle will head out to square off against Bloomington South at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Forest Park, they will square off against Perry Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
