Baseball Recap: Hastings Takes a Loss

Hastings managed to slip by West Michigan Aviation Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Saxons lost 12-2 to West Michigan Aviation Academy on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Saxons have suffered since May 5th.

Hastings saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Spencer Wilkins, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Hastings has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for West Michigan Aviation Academy, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-15.

Looking ahead, Hastings will challenge Parchment at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Michigan Aviation Academy, they will square off against Godwin Heights on Tuesday.
