Baseball Recap: Round Lake Panthers vs. Wauconda Bulldogs
Round Lake had lost seven straight at home, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 3-18 to make it eight. They came up short against the Wauconda Bulldogs, falling 24-7. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent loss being a 4-3 defeat on Wednesday.
Round Lake saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Javier Rolon, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Another was Daniel Russ, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
As for Wauconda, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-11 record this season. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
