Softball Recap: Cartersville Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cartersville can now relate to. They came up short against the Kell Longhorns on Wednesday, falling 6-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Hurricanes haven't been shut out since back in August.

Cartersville got a good showing from Presley Crabbe, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Crabbe has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

With the loss, Cartersville broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 29-5. As for Kell, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 27-3.

Cartersville has already played their next matchup, a 12-9 win against Pace Academy on the 31st. As for Kell, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-1 victory against Central on the 30th.
