Softball Recap: Grand Island Central Catholic Comes Up Short

After flying high against McCook on Saturday, Grand Island Central Catholic came back down to earth. The Crusaders came up short against the Beatrice Orangemen on Saturday, falling 13-5.

Eva Tibbetts made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and fired off two home runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Price, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Grand Island Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Beatrice, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Grand Island Central Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-1 defeat against St. Cecilia on the 13th. As for Beatrice, they have also already played their next match, a 14-2 victory against McCook on the 13th.
