Softball Recap: Waverly Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Skutt Catholic hit Waverly with a nine-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Vikings fell just short of the SkyHawks by a score of 13-11. The Vikings have struggled against the SkyHawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Jill Hind made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Emma Beachler, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Waverly's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Skutt Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Coming up, Waverly will be taking part in a tournament against North Platte at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Skutt Catholic, they will head out to face off against Standing Bear at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
