Baseball Game Preview: Bonnabel Bruins vs. St. Martin's Episcopal Saints

Bonnabel is 1-9 against St. Martin's Episcopal since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Bonnabel Bruins will square off against the St. Martin's Episcopal Saints at 12:00 p.m. One thing working in Bonnabel's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.

If Bonnabel beats St. Martin's Episcopal with 16 runs on Saturday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Bonnabel beat West Jefferson on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-1. Considering the Bruins have won nine contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, St. Martin's Episcopal came up short against Haynes Academy on Tuesday, falling 13-5. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bonnabel's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for St. Martin's Episcopal, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Bonnabel couldn't quite get it done against St. Martin's Episcopal in their previous matchup back in February as they fell 7-2. Can Bonnabel avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
