Football Game Preview: Swampscott Big Blue vs. Marblehead Magicians + Official Tickets

Swampscott is 0-9 against Marblehead since November of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 10:00 a.m. Swampscott's defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so Marblehead's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Swampscott heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on November 7th. They fell just short of Archbishop Williams by a score of 14-11. Having soared to a lofty 33 points in the game before, the Big Blue couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Marblehead's game last Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 27-22 to Canton. While the Magicians didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 14-7 in the first quarter.

Marblehead's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Swampscott, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Swampscott was taken down by Marblehead 42-6 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Big Blue were down 28-6.
