Recap: Boyertown Bears vs. Daniel Boone Blazers
The Boyertown Bears's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 42-28 victory over Daniel Boone. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Boyertown also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2015.
Boyertown was led to victory by Lindsay Mathias and Madelyn Weaver. Mathias scored 12 points along with 4 steals, while Weaver scored 20 points along with 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Weaver has scored at least 25% of Boyertown's points. Tessa Wolfe was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 10 rebounds.
The win got Boyertown back to even at 1-1. As for Daniel Boone, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boyertown won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Kennett at 6:45 p.m. on December 7th. Daniel Boone will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Upper Merion Area at 4:45 p.m. on December 28th.
