Softball Recap: Eaglecrest Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Eaglecrest extended their postseason success on Friday against Erie. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Tigers. Winning may never get old, but the Raptors sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Zaya Elliott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on 12 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Haisley Elliott, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Lexi Barger, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

Eaglecrest's victory bumped their record up to 22-5. As for Erie, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 21-6 record.

Coming up, Eaglecrest will take on Broomfield at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Raptors 3.8, the Eagles 1.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Erie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
